I know it seems a little early to be taking about Christmas, especially when its only October but everywhere I look there's Christmas decorations in the stores. Shit, we've even got mince pies in the cupboard at home. lol.
2023 has been a good year for Joe Blow despite stepping back from social media. Over the past year demand for our products has increased substantially even faced with competition from clone manufacturers. I can only assume that their advertising efforts have just served to help make more people aware of our products. This success has led to a manufacturing backlog that in turn has resulted in increased lead times for manufactured parts and longer turnaround times for customer orders. This is a problem that we have been working hard to address and has ultimately driven us to make some big changes with the business.
To address the demand, we are investing in some additional CNC machinery to help reduce manufacturing times and generate additional manufacturing capacity. We are also undertaking some upgrades to our existing CNC equipment. Not only will these upgrades help us to be able to make parts quicker and more accurately, but the additional CNC capability of the new machinery will also allow us to bring some new products to market that we have long been waiting to release.
For the required upgrades to be undertaken we are extending our Christmas shutdown by bringing the start date forwards by one month. But, to be able to do this we need to suspend web sales so that all existing customer orders can be completed and shipped prior to the shutdown commencing, as all existing plant and machinery will be out of action. This is just a temporary suspension but one that will remain in place until the works are completed. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause. but it is a necessary compromise. All going well, we will reopen for business as usual in the New Year after the Xmas shutdown
So whilst this might be a little early. All of us here at Joe Blow, would like to wish all of our supporters and customers a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
