Discounted Shipping Rates

20.07.23 03:07 PM By Joe Blow

Over the past few years we have always tried to avoid price increases, and have absorbed a number of shipping rate increases to keep customer shipping costs low. We have always felt that shipping costs are a large factor in our export success, and so to ensure customer conversion rates, decided to absorb previous increases. Unfortunately recent rate increases, along with increased material costs resulting from the knock-on effect of the Covid crisis, has meant that this time we are unable to continue to absorb the increase, and so we have decided that we need to pass those costs on.

What this means for you as a customer is that you will no longer benefit from our discounted shipping rates and will pay the same cost per kilo rate that you would normal get from other local vendors shipping from our locality.

In most cases, for destinations that lay on busy trade routes such as major capital cities, this is not a large increase, but for some destinations that are a little more off of the beaten track, the price rise is noticeable. We are of course regretful that we have had to pass those costs on, and acknowledge that this may ultimately impact conversion rates, but to ensure that products remain profitable for us, and we are not out of pocket, it is a necessary step.

We thank all of our customers for your continued support and hope that this shipping rate increase does not negatively impact your custom.
