If you're reading this post then you are looking at our all new website. Whilst the site still kinda looks the same, we have completely rewritten the code form the ground up.
The biggest change and the main reason for the update is a new web-store where you can order products directly online and get instant shipping quotes for items in your cart. This means that instead of contacting us and arranging for an invoice to be sent out to you and then waiting for your order to be manufactured, you can simply order online and purchase directly via the web-store. Payment options are offered for Pay Advantage, PayPal and direct deposit.
Stock quantities are also managed by the web-store, so if the product listing states that it is 'in stock', your purchase will be shipped as soon as your payment clears. If a product isn't in stock you will not be able to purchase it. We decided to stop allowing advanced ordering as Covid has made parts procurement too unreliable and customers have been waiting too long for orders to be fulfilled. So if we don't have it ready to go on the shelf, you will not be able to back-order it. There's still a few custom products that will remain make-to-order like carburettor chokes and blower pulleys and these will have the lead time displayed in the product listing.
With the introduction of the web-store we have also changed the way that we categorise our products. We no longer offer a variety of kit variations (Full / half / basic kits) , but will instead list things like carburettors and superchargers separately. Each kit will only be offered as a basic version without blower or carburettor. So if you want to buy the equivalent of our old 'AMR500 / DCOE Full kit', which included the AMR500 basic supercharger kit with a blower and carburettor, instead you will need to buy the basic supercharger kit and then add an AMR500 supercharger and a DCOE carburettor to your cart separately.
We've split things up like this so that we can still offer kits for sale, even when we do not have carburettors and blowers in stock. Overseas procurement has been the biggest challenge through Covid for us and shipping on parts like blowers and carburettors has been very unreliable. As a result we have decided to no longer allow advanced orders for parts that we cannot give a guaranteed delivery time for.
Launching the new web-store and changing our business model from make-to-order to a make-to-stock means that we are currently in a transition period whilst we build stock, so we apologise in advance for any missing products or low stock items. Stock is being added to the web store as it becomes available so there will be a small transition period whilst we procure parts, make products to fill our shelves and get the web store updated.
We would like to give a big thanks to all of our existing customers for their patience through this transition period. You guys rock!!! Without your patience and understanding we would not have been able to get through this very difficult time. We also sympathise with those who's businesses were not as lucky as ours. We feel very lucky to have been able to keep trading through the pandemic.
Over the next month you will see the website and web-store grow as more products and content are added. We are prioritising manufacture of the basic supercharger kits so keep an eye on the web store if you are looking to purchase one. First in best dressed as they say here in Aus.
As ever, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out.
