We are rolling out important updates to our international shipping and customs processing to help us (and you) navigate a rapidly changing global trade environment.
Changes are coming for several European Union destinations, where stricter customs rules, enhanced data requirements, and updated import regulations are taking effect. Similarly, shifts in North American trade policies—including updates affecting Canada—mean stricter automated screening and mandatory upfront tax collection. Without proper handling, shipments to these regions face severe border delays, unexpected carrier fees, and customs holds upon arrival.
To protect our customers from these uncertainties, we are expanding our Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) tariff processing to all international destinations, giving customers complete clarity and choice at checkout. Using our DDP process at checkout ensures that all customs and duty requirements are handled up front, minimising risks and avoiding costly delays.
Zonos partnership
For well over a year now, we have successfully partnered with Zonos to process all USA DDP charges in real time through our integrated checkout process.
Zonos are a cross-border technology platform that calculates import duties, classifies products with tariff codes, and manages compliance data for international ecommerce shipments.
Building on the proven reliability of this system, we are now expanding Zonos landed costs functionality across all international destinations. This allows us to deliver up-to-date, accurate duty and tax rates worldwide.
Such capability is critically important in the volatile tariff landscape we experience today. With trade policies, tax thresholds, and import rules shifting rapidly across governments globally, having a dynamic and reliable calculation engine ensures that what you see in your cart is your final total landed cost. This guarantees complete transparency, eliminates surprise fees for the recipient, and ensures your orders clear customs smoothly and without delay.
International DDP Checkout
Our DDP checkout process gives full transparency of duty and excise costs up front. We display itemised duty, tax and processing charges so that you can see exactly what those costs are and where they are going. This builds on our previous setup that USA customers are already familiar with.
All duty costs are calculated real time using the Zonos API. Meaning that at the time you place your order, all tariff and duty charges are correct and up to date.
So if the USA introduce a new tariff at breakfast, it'll be updated here by lunchtime (well you get the sentiment ;) )
